I worked as a teaching assistant for two years at the Early Childhood Development Center at the University of Michigan-Flint where while I attended school there. I was trained using the Reggio Emilia approach which really allows for learning and development to be tailored to each individual child's needs instead of just one rigid structure for all. I enjoyed growing and discovering with the children as they came into their own using crafts and other creative mediums. Helping and nurturing children is one of the things that puts a smile on my face.
