I love being a sitter because I genuinely enjoy building connections with kids and watching them grow. Being a positive influence in their lives brings me so much joy. I also find it rewarding to provide a safe, nurturing environment where children can explore, learn, and have fun while their parents feel reassured that they’re in good hands. I have plenty of hands-on experience caring for children. Growing up as the oldest, I helped raise three of my four younger siblings, which taught me patience, adaptability, and how to manage multiple responsibilities at once. Additionally, I currently volunteer as a play ranger with Playtime Project, where I spend a few hours each week with kids aged 2-10 who are part of families experiencing financial insecurity. Through this, I’ve learned to create engaging and developmentally appropriate activities that help foster creativity and a sense of belonging. I’m skilled in managing children’s Read more schedules, resolving conflicts, and creating engaging activities tailored to their interests and needs. I’m also trained in understanding how to support children’s emotional well-being, especially in challenging circumstances, thanks to my volunteer work. My past experience as a direct support professional has also equipped me with skills in record-keeping, effective communication, and being attentive to individual needs. I’m responsible, compassionate, and enthusiastic about helping children thrive in every environment.
