Growing up on Long Island, NY, there were 4 of us—two parents, two children, etc. Being the oldest, I’d taken responsibility for babysitting my younger brother occasionally—but nothing could have prepared me for moving to Brownsville, Texas, where I met my extended family. Woa! I quickly learned everyone’s names, and became fast friends with my cousins—all eleven of them at the time—and as one of the oldest, fancied myself ‘the organizer’, lining the cousins up for games like ‘Red light, Green light, 1-2-3’, and ‘Duck, Duck, Goose’. I cherish those memories, and know some of my most important family friendships came from those times when we spent all day outdoors entertaining ourselves! I moved to Evanston, IL, for Northwestern when I was 17, spending time there after graduation before moving to NYC to pursue a culinary background. Houston and New Orleans followed those moves as I became considered one of Read more the top experts in my field & I traveled internationally for work. I moved back to Brownsville after finding my mother ageing, and realize this is where I want to be now. I am now an entrepreneur, making my name in this little / getting bigger / city of Brownsville. I have some free time on my hands in between clients’ needs and would love being considered to be someone you’d entrust your children with. I have traveled extensively, and very much see that as an advantage in the consideration of the right candidate. I love telling stories!
