I have taken part in over 400 hours of community service because, put simply, I like helping out. Volunteering for High Ground Animal Sanctuary and Upward Flag Football and Cheerleading have become my mainstays, mainly because I have a passion for helping animals as well as a love for encouraging kiddos to exceed their potential in life and the community.

I have been the Volunteer Comissioner for the Spokane Valley Upward Flag Football program for 2 years this fall and have other sitter experience caring for kids of all ages. For HGAS (mentioned above) I have fostered a boarder collie-golden retriever mixed pup for half a year, training him and nursing him back to health; and in addition, was put in charge of the summer day-care for a litter of pitbull puppies.

My education consists of a high school diploma and an A.A. degree from Spokane Community College. I also have my First Aid and Heartsaver certifications and know a bit of sign language. From volunteering as well as from my place in a large, split family, I have generated great organizational skills and am flexible when situations get rough (can get a reference from my Upward director on that one). Overall I have a pretty laid back personality, but am creative and a go-getter when need be. Throw me whatever challenge you've got.
