I love working with pets because they remind me of my own pets and the many other pets I've worked with in past summers at my hometown's vet clinic and humane society and in Pullman. I enjoy animal behavior so much I am getting my bachelors degree with an emphasis on animal behavior. It is my life's passion to analyze animals' behavior and find ways for them to live happier and more fulfilled lives. I treat all animals I get to work with as my own and I love them as my own animals. Since moving away from my dogs, I have learned to cherish my time working with other people's beloved pets. I make a point to go out of my way to take my current canine clients' needs and preferences into consideration when planning a walking route or fun day out. I think about not only their fitness levels and exercise requirements, but I create engaging enrichment activities that will test them mentally, and allow them the time and space to be a dog- feel different terrains under their paws, smell a variety of smells and play their favorite games. I recently taught one of my client's dogs my version of hide and seek to reinforce his recall. I enjoy the art of teaching and rewarding positive behaviors through games. All that to say, I'm a bit of a nerd when it comes to this stuff and I would be honored to spend time with your animals and maybe teach them a game or two in our time together. Thank you for reading!
