Howdy! I’m a 20 year old college student who is studying to become a teacher! I have always had a love for animals and children, and currently care for my brother with Down Syndrome, a Husky, two cats, a Sun Conure, a Budgie, and a Hermit Crab. I have experience working with rodents, fish, birds, cats, dogs, and have extensive knowledge on equine and bovine, as well as reptiles and amphibians! For all my life I’ve had a strong passion for zoology and frequently study the subject. I have experience training animals, volunteering in an elementary, SPED, and preschool setting, and have dogsat my neighbors now senior dog for over 10 years. I love working with animals because I believe we can learn a lot from them as humans and they all have personalities that can rival our own! Each animal is truly unique and here for a purpose, and deserve the best life possible! As for working with children, growing up with a special needs brother has given me inspiration to help others in need, regardless of their disabilities, whether that’s with school or life in general! I have over 50 hours volunteering in McKinney ISD schools and 20 hours in a local Goddard preschool, with additional volunteering at local especially needed events.
