My experience with animals began as a child when I began bringing home stray animals - we would post signs and find their owners (never taking a reward). As a teen, I purchased a cockatiel who was my best buddy for 15 years. I also owned a cat and a toy poodle during those years. After I left for college, I didn't have the opportunity to own animals again (other than my pet bird) until just a couple of years ago, when we moved to 5 acres. Now we own 6 goats, 20 chickens, 4 ducks, 6 rabbits, 1 sweet cat, and a lovable English Shepherd. Oh, and a fish aquarium. I have experience housetraining a puppy, using natural remedies for various animal illnesses, shots (goats and rabbits), and nail & hoof trimming. Can you tell I love animals?
