I, myself have 3 dogs! I love dogs, I am considering going into veterinary practices, as well. As my dogs have grown up I have trained them to do tricks, behave, go potty outside, etc. MY love for animals is like no other. A lot of people have told me they can tell I really just love dogs, and its true. I have had all sorts of dogs, from Labs to yorkies, boxers, pitbullls, all sizes. I've always thought of having dogs like as having children, because they are not always easy, sometimes it can be hard especially when they are puppies but the relationship you build is always worth it.
