On school breaks I care for my older sister's 9 year old Schnauzer, Danny. I usually bathe him once a week, and take him out for 40-55 minutes walks. Sometimes the walks are a bit shorter or longer, depeding on the weather, and on how tired the dog looks. My sister has had her dog for three years.
Currently I live with my mom, we had two dogs, however, my younger sister took Princess to live with her, but  I was around her for bit shorter that 5 years. We also have Tiny, she is four years old. She is very energetic. In February 2010, Tiny had her first litter of puppies. We keep them for about two months before they went to live with new owners.
When I was younger, my mother always had birds, I would feed them and change their water when she asked me to when she was busy.
My sister and I also had two adult Iguanas. They sometimes looked intimidating, but I loved feeding them. We'd sometimes held pieces of fruit to their mouths, but stopped shortly after my sister was accidentely bitten by one of them. Unfortunantely a window was left opened when we were painting our room and they both escaped. We had them for about three years.
I've also had bunnies, and a ferret. A lot of people say ferrets smell, but I grew to love them dispite of their mild odor. They are so playful and fun to have as a pet. I am considering getting another ferret when I graduate college. Joey, the ferret, we owned for about three years. A year after we added Joey to our family, Princess, the puppy, came along. She grew up with Joey. It was so cute how even after Princess outgrew Joey they still played together. The dog never hurt the ferret.
