As the Porr’s full time Nanny, I was responsible for five kids, one dog, two cats. We always made each after school lesson fun, creative and informative so each child would learn something new the next day with learning about school lessons or homework and practice at home to educate the entire family. My focus was on the children, picking them up from school and appointments and activities which required them to attend different practices, like soccer, piano, basketball and church school. These activities were outlined by the Parent’s guidance and direction. Every aspect of childcare was critical to me specifically because the safety and welfare of each child, I took seriously and personally as if they were my own children. I was hard, but fair and maintained a high level of sanitation. I also maintained limited housekeeping duties including laundry, pet care and having meals prepared for the kids. Childcare is serious business and only qualified, loving and passionate people should be charged with such an honor. We always had fun me and the kids and maintaining the health and welfare of the baby and kids within the house was a true blessing to have experienced the opportunity to work with this family.
