Hello pet parents of West Philly!
My name is Ella and I can't wait to meet your fur children. I have a lot of experience with dogs and cats of many different temperaments. I'm a two-time dog parent, growing up with an incredibly intelligent and independent cattle dog-collie mix, and as an adult raising (and training) a Labrador-pit bull mix rescue from puppyhood. One of the dogs was easy-going, and the second (the lab-pit bull mix) was quite a handful and needed a lot of love and healing before he became well adjusted. I also have experience pet sitting for family friends who practically made their home a dog sanctuary growing up. As for cats, I have lived with cats my entire adult life and cat sit for my roommates and my sister. I currently live with two cats. One loves getting lots of attention, the other is shy and likes interacting on her own terms. What I have learned from my experience is how to be patient, how to listen, how to respect animal boundaries, how to read dog and cat body language, and that deep down all every cat and dog wants is to feel safe and to be loved. I hope you give me the privilege of working with your pets!

When its comes to caring for pets, with the exception of love, patience, and kindness, I know there is no one size fits all approach. Every cat and dog has their own personality and needs, and I am willing to listen and adjust to them.
