Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Shanna and I haven’t met an animal who doesn’t love me! I have decided to expand my business. On another pet care platform, I currently have a 4.9 star rating, MANY achievement badges, and am a Top Pet Caregiver in my area with lots of reviews. I grew up around my aunt’s and uncle’s dogs and as a child, I would always beg my mom to let me go over so I could spend time rubbing their cute bellies and brushing their soft fur :) I became a pet parent for the first time in 2010 when my mother and I rescued a cat from PSPCA. Having loved dogs my whole life, I couldn’t have been more eager to bond with my cat or more curious about what that would entail. Her name was Summer and she was an orange tabby cat and I loved her with every ounce of my being. After 8 great years with her, she developed breast cancer and the vets were unable to operate. Losing her was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to go through so I know just how important it is to want the very best possible care for your fur-baby. It’s having these experiences that allowed me to learn about both dogs and cats behaviourally and emotionally. I know how to communicate and care for animals in a way that makes them feel safe and loved and I want to provide that to their pet parents as well. That is my mission with Rover, to ensure that your fur-babies are never lonely, scared, or agitated when you’re not able to be around and to ensure that they’re able to get their recommended amount of playtime and exercise!
