Hello!
My name is Carmen, and I’m 19 years old. I am currently finishing up my freshman year at New York University. I have 2 pets, a dog named Fritz, and a cat named Tinky, both of whom I love very much and enjoy spending lots of my free time with. We have consistently had at least one pet in my family home since I was born, and many of my close friends and relatives have pets that I see and interact with often. I have a lot of experience caring for mainly dogs and cats. I am certified in CPR and first aid for dogs and cats, and I am experienced in feeding, both normally and with special diets, walking, cleaning, playing with, distributing medicine to (orally), and reading behaviors of both cats and dogs. One of my cats in the past suffered from FIV in his old age, and I was accustomed to caring for his illness, cleaning him, and distributing his needed medications on a daily basis to support his quality of life.
My pets mean the world to me, and I understand that other owners feel the same way. Considering this, I would only wish to offer pet sitting services that are up to, and beyond, the expectations of owners. I want to ensure the pets safety over everything, so I greatly appreciate clear, detailed instructions towards the care of the pet. I am communicative and will ask any and all questions that arise within the instructions or the care process.
I love to work with pets and their distinct personalities because they bring me joy and because animals have been a big part of my life since I was very young. I am understanding and patient with all animals as well as caring and considerate to their individual needs and behaviors. And although I do not have a lot of paid experience with pet-sitting, I have been doing so for many years, both with family pets and those of friends and colleagues.
