Raina’s Bio
Hello! My name is Raina (she/her).
I have a 2 year old cattle dog named Gordon who is the center of my family! I grew up with a German shepherd and black lab. I have been the primary trainer for my dogs and take pride in knowing they are wellbehaved. In the past, I have pet sat for friends, family, and others via sitter city. I am very trustworthy, reliable, and truly love animals.
A little more about me...
I have gained diverse professional experience in public health and community engagement. Currently, as an intern at the Joint Office of Homeless Services, I evaluate alternative shelter models for individuals experiencing homelessness while contributing to data collection and research resource enhancement. I am also currently a nanny for one girl whom I have been with for the past 6 years where I have been responsible for offering age-appropriate activities, behavioral modeling, health guidance, transportation to and from school and after-school activities, as well as academic support. Additionally, I have served as a Grader at Portland State University, provided food equity community research as an intern with the Portland Fruit Tree Project, and engaged in community outreach initiatives at PDX Alliance For Self-Care. My educational background includes a Summa Cum Laude B.S. in Public Health from Portland State University and ongoing pursuit of an MPH in Health Promotion at Oregon Health and Science University, further enhancing my qualifications in the field.
I would love to further my experience and provide positive and engaging care for your child while I finish up my degree. I look forward to meeting you.I have grown up and cared for dogs, cats, snakes, birds, and rodents. I have experience with aggressive dogs, puppies and everything in between.
