I began volunteering with Animal Aid, a local no-kill rescue, when I was 15 (15 years ago) and over the years have gained an enormous amount of experience with animals through volunteer work, my professional career, and my personal life. I especially love senior cats and have significant experience and confidence with medications, health issues, and behavioral challenges in all kinds of pets.

I worked at a local pet store when I came home from college and was responsible for the lives of fish, birds, rodents, reptiles and amphibians. After 2 years there, I began work at a vet/boarding facility for cats called Cat Care Professionals in Lake Oswego. I was a boarding tech as well as a vet tech assistant so I am completely comfortable with administering medications, Sub Qs, insulin injections, etc. I am particularly helpful with fractious cats and experienced with every type of age and personality! After that, I was the Cat Adoption & Intake Coordinator at The Pixie Project for 5 years and have also been involved in animal adoption as well as assisting the community with feral cats through TNR work. I also have plenty of experience with nail trims and grooming.

Through my volunteer work and reputation as an experienced animal lover, I have gained several dog and cat-sitting jobs through word-of-mouth. I am flexible with my charges (I usually let people make an offer and it depends on the amount of work involved and distance to travel) and am very happy to stay overnight if preferred. My family is local and while I have been fortunate to not have had to use a back-up plan so far (knock on wood!), I have many resources to assist me should an emergency arise and I am not able to perform my duties while you are away.
