Hi, my name is Leah. I moved to Chicago from Oregon to attend graduate school at the University of Chicago.
I have always had both cats and dogs since I was a small child.
Currently I have a (suspected) lab/boxer mix six-year-old puppy, as well as a six-year-old long haired tortoiseshell calico cat. I have also had pet rats, a pet toad, a dessert swift (lizard), and aquatic frogs and aquariums at different times in my life so I am comfortable caring for many other types of pets as well. The only thing I won't do is pet rabbits.
I started housesitting for a neighbor who had a cat, two dogs, and many plants when I was thirteen. I have enjoyed intermittent work caring for animals ever since. If your animal is good with other dogs and cats they can stay at my apartment for 24 hour care, or I could come to your home to provide care. Both cats and dogs respond very well to me so I know your beloved companion will enjoy their time with me.
