Hi there, I’m Caroline. Nice to meet you! Here is a little outline of my experience:
I spent last summer working as a counselor, art teacher, and trip leader at a wilderness camp called Ogichi Daa Kwe which aims to empower girls ages 8-17 through canoeing trips in the Canadian wilderness. For this job I was trained in “soft skills” such as effective communication with a diverse group of kids with diverse needs. I was also trained in “hard skills” and became a certified wilderness first responder. The 5 summers previous I worked as a nanny full time. I have pretty extensive experience caring for babies, toddlers, kids, and teenagers. I have also worked as a tutor and as an animal caregiver. I’ve been babysitting since I first took the Red Cross babysitter course at the age of 11 and pet sitting since around the same time. I am creative, trustworthy, and genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and animals!
