Hello, I’m Micayla! I am an incoming first year medical student who graduated of the University of Maryland, College Park with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences and a double minor in Spanish Language, Culture, and Professional Contexts and Latin American Studies.
I have a bright, warm, and nurturing personality with extensive experience in child care and pet care services, having looked after young children (infant, toddler, and elementary-school aged) since I was a teenager and caring for pets for over a decade.
In my free time, I enjoy taking walks and spending time outside in nature, exploring new cuisines in the city, reading, and watching documentaries!
As someone who has juggled several extracurricular, academic, and professional responsibilities at once, I have developed excellent time management and communication skills as well as daily routines that help me to maintain balance in my professional and personal life!
