I have always loved animals, but dogs particularly. As the school year comes to a close, I am looking for a way to reenergize and keep active over the summer while doing something I love.
I've had pets all of my life, including dogs and cats. However, I also have some experience pet sitting as well. During my school years, I routinely assisted a breeder in caring for her dogs (both personal pets and kenneled dogs) while she was away. This included walking, feeding, and playing up to ten dogs at a time. I also have experience caring for special needs dogs due to this experience. This experience, along with my personal love of animals, makes me more than qualified for this position.
There are a number of qualities I possess, which would make me a great pet-sitter. I am meticulous and show great care in organizing each part of my life as well as the things around me. This trait keeps me on time and on top of all of my duties. Not only that, but it also helps me stay well-prepared for the surprises that life has to offer. I can also be very flexible in regard to scheduling. As I am currently off for the summer, can step in on short notice or rearrange my own schedule to accommodate the needs of a client. Finally, I would say that I am calm and sensitive. These traits help me recognize and respond to the needs of the dog and responds to them in a way that keeps the animal from feeling stressed or anxious.
