Hello! Our family has had a dogs for the last 23 years. The first was a Golden Retriever named Kramer who we raised from a puppy. He was a great dog and really good with our children. Kramer did not like thunderstorms, so we stayed extra close to keep him calm. Sadly, he passed away at 11 years of age. During the time Kramer was a part of our family, we also cared for my brother-in-law's dog, a mix of Great Dane and German Shepherd. Yeager was shipped to the US from Germany. The airport in Germany called to tell us that he ate through the crate in which he was to be transported. He made the next flight. Yeager was extremely large and rather scary at first, but we grew accustomed to having him as company for Kramer. Our most recent dog is Jersey Girl who is a yellow lab and 12 years old. She has been an awesome dog, but is getting old now and has arthritis. We have to give her medicine to ease the pain.
We have also had cats in the past. Mickey and Minnie were very playful and made all kinds of mischief. They have passed away as well.
I have not previously been a pet sitter before (the site made me write 1 for the number of years of experience), but as you can see, I'm no stranger to cats or dogs. We have taken our dogs on many walks, hikes, family vacations, camping excursions, and trips to visit family.
I would love to help out with your pet. Given the opportunity, I'm sure you'd find me to be an excellent caretaker!
