My passion is being around dogs. I am a dog lover who has experience working with and handling a wide range of breeds, sizes, temperaments, and ages. I have volunteer experience with walking and socializing the dogs awaiting adoption at a local animal shelter. One dog, in particular, was a puppy mill dog who had difficulty walking outside; I held him, sat with him, and socialized him until he was comfortable enough to walk and be around people; it was a very rewarding experience. I briefly fostered an older dog from this shelter during a hurricane. My family has owned seven dogs all throughout my life. One dog I owned was an older special needs dog with medical complications. I currently have four young dogs that I am primarily responsible for. I play with them, feed them, train them, and walk them. I have experience with drop-in visits and overnight stays. Due to my experience with multiple dogs, I'm willing to take care of up to 3 dogs at a time. I can be responsible for dogs up to 50 pounds. My goal is to work with animals as a career, and I hope this is the start to my journey.
