I love animals of all kinds and have had pets my whole life.
When I was younger, I worked in both pet stores as well as for a veterinarian, and volunteered in shelters.
As an adult, I got involved with 4-H, volunteered at a ranch, and have worked multiple weeks for seven summers now in a camp horsemanship program. All of these different jobs over my lifetime have exposed me to the care of dairy cattle, poultry, horses, sheep and pigs. Personally I have owned and cared for rabbits, hedgehogs, ferrets, cats, dogs and my own flock of chickens. I am comfortable with reptiles and arachnids also, despite limited exposure. I have had a lot of experience watching pets for friends, medicating pets, and even giving insulin shots for diabetic pets.
I am available most days and weekends as I am home schooling my autistic son in his last year of high school. This gives me a lot of freedom to make my own schedule. I am an experienced and responsible parent, can give references, and I have reliable transportation. Everyone who has hired me to care for their animals knows I will care for them like my own.
