My name is Onnyx, and I am a 23-year-old college student in Raleigh, NC. I’ve grown up around animals my entire life and have always been very passionate about ensuring their health and wellbeing.

My deep love for animals led me to enroll in Burlington Institute of Technology – a technical high school in New Jersey – where I graduated at the top of my class with a veterinary assistant certification. I then went on to work at Willingboro Veterinary Clinic, an animal hospital in which I was employed for three years. Working at the vet clinic, I assisted in many different areas from pharmacy to surgery to kennel to isolation and more. These diverse experiences provided me with many transferable skills and attributes such as critical thinking, adaptability, patience, professionalism, communication and attention to detail.

Outside of the veterinary setting, I have over ten years of pet-sitting experience where I had the pleasure of sitting for a diverse array of animals and breeds.

In my own home, I’ve raised a variety of pets including multiple cats, dogs, hamsters and geckos. I currently have an 8-year-old Siberian Husky, Jack Frost who I raised from puppyhood along with his late sister Bella.
