I had the unique experience of growing up on a small farm here in Missouri. It was a great experience and I certainly cannot imagine a childhood not surrounded by animals.

Our treasured pets included a Blue Heeler, Border Collie and a Dalmatian, and cats that got along with them, a few social chickens, a sheep named Molly, and fat rabbits, among others. It was a rich experience!

Apart from having what may appear to be a slew of animals, we did not merely feed and house our animals but cared for them in a meaningful way and got to know the interesting personalities of each. We respected our animals. I will respect your animals as I would my own.

Currently, I have a cat named Winston and a Maine Coon kitten appropriately named Precious.
