Hello! I am looking for after hours work in addition to my full time job. I own two cats currently and have taken care of dogs in the past. I volunteer with the Animal Protection Association of Missouri, where I take the shelter dogs for rotating walks and attend to the cat section. Occasionally it includes cleaning or straightening out the dog cages. The cat section includes socializing with the cats, cleaning out their spaces, and refilling food and water. While not required with the dog walking, volunteers are encouraged to practice leashed walking and attention to the walker instead of the cars and other distractions. I like to practice this as well, it helps with leash pulling and socialization. It is important to me that both the pet parents and the pets are comfortable around me and I am a good fit in their household and daily life. I think that the careful consideration to detail that I posses makes me good at my job and well qualified to be responsible for animals.
