I’ve had a job as a DSP (direct support professional) for a little over a year taking care of 4 special needs adults. That is a job we’re you help them be as independent as possible but still aiding with things they absolutely need help with. My everyday duties were getting them off the bus and trying them a snack while prepping dinner, helping with everyday activities like walker, art, dancing and any chores they had. I also worked as a PCA (personal care assistant). I did everything as I worked with someone who want able to rely on herself at all I also helped her grandma (who was her caregiver) with house hold chores. This job consisted of making breakfast getting her dressed for school, helping her attend online classes, bathing and lunches. I often ran errands in the free time I had also. I had a job for wag it’s a pet walking service. I didn’t have much experience with that job because I did not have the correct things I needed to continue the job (wag tshirt) so it prevented me from being able to do so. I am a pet owner of one puppy that just turned one this year. So I am open to pet care as welll.
