I have two dogs of my own, I had cats growing up and I have a turtle, Im a 50 yr old registered nurse and have dealt with my own pets that had seizures and diabetes having to give them injections and medications orally and have no problem with that. I have pet sat in my home for smaller breeds and they have done well with my two dogs. I also have sat for pets in there home and administered medications for them.I bath my own pets but dont groom them myself , I love taking them for walks around the neighboorhood or dog park.
