My experience in pet sitting, farm sitting, and house sitting began in college when a physical trainer at the university asked if I wouldn't mind staying in her parents' home and taking care of their dog while they were away for a while. I had a blast hanging out with their sweet dog, going for walks with her in their woods in the fall and keeping her calm while her family was away. I found that spending time with her calmed me, too. It was like meeting a new friend who liked to do the same things I did. Since then, I began to notice that people I crossed paths with, tended to come to me with similar questions: "Would you mind keeping an eye on the goats and tossing them some hay while I'm away for a few days?," "My in-laws are going to be away from their home for a week, would you mind staying at their place and taking care of their cats?," "We're going to be home late tonight, mind closing up the chickens?," "Mind staying in the farmhouse and keeping an eye on the farm and the animals for the holidays?" Every time someone has asked if I would like to take care of their home or animals I have felt so delighted to help, to create that friendship, no matter how brief. I love caring for and interacting with animals, and giving people the peace of mind to be comfortable leaving members of their family and their homes in my care.

I'm a quiet, independent person who lives with her cat, Daphne, in a tiny house in the backwoods of Saco, ME. I enjoy reading under the covers with Daph in the winter. And going for woods exploration walks with Daph during the months where there is no snow and she can join me. I like working on farms, practicing yoga, going for bike rides, hiking, kayaking, and pretending I know how to build things. I have also owned a dog, and regularly care for my sister's giant german shepherd mix. I have been working on animal and vegetable production farms for the past 10 years. On these farms, I have cared for chickens, pigs, turkeys, goats, and cattle.

I'm happy to keep your home occupied while you are away and keep an eye on your pets, occasionally drop in and check on your property and provide animal care, handle animal or farm chores, take your pup for regular or occasional walks...
