In 2014, I worked at an animal shelter as a surgery cleaner. I performed duties such as cleaning cages of animals who have been neutered or spayed, feed and take care of the animals that were staying overnight and made sure the surgery room and area were disinfected. Summer of 2015, I worked at an animal vet clinic as a receptionist and a vet tech assistant. Although I never took appropriate classes, the doctor was willing to train me to administer injections and help with basic tasks of caring for an animal. I became familiar with the different flee and tick treatments and what type of food is appropriate for a particular dog. Occasionally, I will dog sit for my uncles two dogs for a week or so. This included giving them daily morning, afternoon, and evening walks, distribute treats when appropriate, and give them tons of love of course!
