My name is Mirella and it would be a pleasure to take care of your pet.
Animals are extremely dear to me and I've always been grateful for opportunities to spend time with other people's pets in the city as my current living situation doesn't make it possible for me to have one of my own.

I have an extremely broad background in pet-care, starting with the years I volunteered at a wild animal rescue clinic where we would rehabilitate injured or orphaned wildlife such as ospreys, tortoises, otters, and even sea turtles.

I had many pets growing up including fish, rabbits, my lovebird, two cats and three Pomeranians. I am also extremely interested in animal behavior and especially service animals. I've done extensive research on clicker / Pavlovian dog training and feel capable of caring for dogs with special needs. When I am caring for a dog, I am extremely guarded when it comes to their safety in terms of interacting with other dogs, never using my phone on walks unless it's an emergency, and communicating with the owner what their pet's preferences are.

I currently live in a three bedroom house in Ridgewood that is dog and cat friendly with screened in windows and a fenced in backyard. There are currently no pets in the house but the two other roommates are welcome to non-human guests.

I have done pet-sitting for many family members as well as one of New York's most prestigious eye surgeons and his famous Borzoi, whom I helped raise and prepare to be a therapy dog. I am open to a variety of different jobs, so please don't hesitate to be in touch.
