I love cats and dogs. I have had pets since I was in high school. My beloved Gretel, a miniature schnauzer, was diagnosed as diabetic and I gave her insulin shots , twice a day, for the last two years of her life. Right now I live in an apartment and only have a cat who is a rescue. He is rather ornery but he is still a much loved part of my family.
