Hello!
My name is Lora and I love working with animals. I think I have an inate ability that most people dream about having. Dogs generally feel more comfortable and safe when I walk into a room. They respond to my body language, physical cues and the tone of my voice. A dogs motivations are based on comfort, food, safety and play. I get a sense for their motivations in any given moment by observing their body language and reactions. By doing this, I am able to "communicate" with them and help them meet their needs. I believe that consistency in demeanor and actions is the key to working with any animal or person, for that matter.

I have worked with several families and individuals over the years, pet sitting and "people sitting". When I say I have done pet sitting for 4 years, that is an estimate of a cumulative amount of work over the last 12 years. I prefer to set my own schedule rather than be an "employee". This is not to say that I would refuse a regular position. If something is a good fit, then anything is possible.

I am willing to travel a bit farther if it is an overnight or longer term sitting.
