Ever since my early youth, my family's been fostering dogs through 2x2 Rescue. It always excited me because every dog truly has their own personality !

Unfortunately, many of the fosters have traumatic beginnings when we get them -- Baby pitbulls abandoned in alleyways, or dogs left outside for months at a time. It can be hard to believe that they are even capable of trusting another person, but through about 5 years of fostering I've learned how to manage anxious dogs and trick them into eating food and medication [ hehehe ]
My job is not to baby the dog or feel bad for them, but to guide them to work better with people, ensure their health and safety, and make their time enjoyable ~

I know the listing says I only have 1 year of experience, but that is paid experience, everything else I do through 2x2 is volunteer work. During that year though, me and my brother had a dog walking gig going around the neighborhood !

About Me:

I'm an Eagle Scout fresh out of high school who, honestly, desperately needs to save up for college. I'm going to the University of Colorado Boulder this Autumn and scholarships can only partially pay the $60,000 per year out-of-state cost. I love going on walks and runs so dog walking is the perfect job !

P.S. If you want a walk longer than 60 minutes or want me to run, just let me know !

Runs may cost extra depending on where the nearest trail system is -- I won't run on the sidewalk with the dog due to the safety issue of being near cars.

As for extra time, just give me how long or a set route and I'll give you a quote. Feel free to negotiate as you see fit.

* Currently, I cannot foster or take pets to my home as we own a rabbit
