I began fostering stray dogs and overflow from IAC in 2016; I have owned and cared for large dogs since 1988, including purbred German shepherd, Australian step/huskie mix, shepherd/chow mix, border collie/pointer mix. After having to euthanize our 10yo border for cancer December 2022, I rescued a husky/cattle dog pup---now 8mo. old and a 2yo golden boxer/shepherd mix. All spayed or neutered.
My 2 friendly mutts are very dog friendly, I have a chain-linked fence around my wooded acre and have plenty of room for a second crate, etc. for while I am a t work as a local school nurse.
I also have adopted and happily cared for different breeds of cats since 1988, so checking on your cats while you are away is definitely on my "can do" list.
