My family has always had dogs and we currently have two dachshunds and one labradoodle! I absolutely adore pets and although I don't have cats, I still love them! I am slightly allergic, but that doesn't stop me from giving them pets and kisses. I don't mind cleaning up accidents or helping bathe/feed them. I know some animals can be a bit hesitant to newcomers so I know that some hostility is to be expected at the beginning! I also have a bit of experience training my own dogs (not professional, but simple commands like sit, lay down, shake, etc.).
