Greeting Atlanta pet lovers! My name is Toni, and I've always been fond of pets too. As a child we always had a pet. After reading a book in elementary school called Misty (about a horse), I decided it would be the perfect name for our new family dog. Misty looked like Benji, a famous dog from the 80's. Misty lived a very long life because she knew she had six loving family members to take care of her. As a child we also had a Cockatoo named Berretta, that we taught to speak. Two rabbits named Anniversary and G.R, plus our hamster called Sunny.
As an adult my sisters who traveled a lot for work would often call on me to care for their pets (children) for short and long term trips.
When my neighbors planned to go out our town for vacation I was always the first person they would call.
In 2003 I became a Nanny/Household Manager often my employees would have pets. When they traveled for an extended period of time for vacation, I would also care for their pets.
My duties are the following:
washing out their water and food bowls
refilling bowls with fresh water daily
feed at scheduled time
administer medications
take for walks/play outside or at a doggie park
pick up medication from veterinarian
Buy food if low/out
clean out litter box
Send pictures/videos of how pets were doing
create my own pet care log sheet
text through out the day to let owner know how pet (s) are doing
occasionally groom
prepare water pitcher for owner to change water for fish tank
Pick up or drop off pets to doggie daycare
greet pets as I entered the home
tell them goodbye/goodnight at end of day
show love and affection though out the day (belly rubbers, gently scratch behind the ears, legs, play with them and etc.)
