When I was 19, I moved to NAS Lemoore, California & began babysitting, Nanning, pet siting & house sitting for mainly military families in-need of extended care. Due to me becoming a full time Manager I began occasionally pet sitting for a few military personals who had weekly & or monthly detachments. That would include Feeding, walking, playing or taking to grooming appointments if & when needed. I do have a baby of my own, Named Muffin she is a lovely Cock-a-Tzu (shihTzu Coker Spaniel mix) she looks just like Lady from lady & the tramp. Some times depending on the agreed arrangements if the owner was going to be gone for longer than a weekend. I would assist with the dog staying by my home or the owners home where I would bring my baby so she isn't left alone. I currently live in Atlanta, GA & still occasionally dog sit for two of my neighbors when they go out of town & sometimes when I'm baby sitting a family with a dog. I've cared for up to three dogs at once. Let me tell you that was an experience I enjoyed, it was two Pitbull's & a Pomeranian for overnight & I was lucky enough to bring my Muffin.
