Prior to returning to my home state of Maine, I was an independent contractor in Washington, DC for a petsitting service called Capital Petsitters, Inc. (www.capitalpetsitters.com) and was responsible for dog-walking, vacation visits, and overnight services in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. I am currently executive director of a non-profit business association dedicated to advancing the environmental, energy, and clean technology sector in Maine. As a Portland business leader, I manage an organization of more than 200 private, public, and non-profit entities; prepare and implement an annual budget; produce dozens of events and forums each year; and engage in special projects related to economic and business development activities. I am a volunteer at the Animal Refuge League of Greater Portland and a volunteer in support of the Maine black bear referendum on baiting, hounding, and trapping. I am interested in part-time petsitting and walking services, as well as vacation and overnight services for dogs, cats, and critters.
