Hi! My name is Stephanie. I am a mature, responsible single mother of two. I also have a wonderful 12-year-old Shih Tzu, Cooper. I have been caring for pets of friends and family for the past 30 years. I enjoy taking the stress out of people's travel plans by them knowing that their beloved pets are well cared for in the comfort and security of their own homes. Most pet owners I know do not want their pets in a cage in a vet's office or a kennel while they are traveling. I will walk and feed your pets, administer any medication necessary to them, play with them, and most importantly, give them the love and attention that they deserve when they are missing you. I also have a senior shih tzu who has limited vision and hearing and am used to caring for a pet with those issues. I administer his eye drops and communicate with him by constantly knowing his needs and knowing when he is looking for me. Since he has lost his senses of vision and hearing, I am aware when he is walking around smelling for me and immediately go to him. I'm a caregiver at heart, and since my kids are grown, it is very rewarding to care for pets when their owners need to be away (I am particularly a dog lover!). I am able to do additional things needed around your home at your request; take in papers, turn lights off and on, water plants, etc. I would consider spending the night in your home at your request so that your pets would not have to be alone and your home would be occupied. My son, who is an adult now lives with me so I have loving care for my shih tzu while I am caring for your pets!
