Stepanie and her family not only have 2 children but they have 3 cats and 1 large dog.  Although I haven't not watched her animals overnight they are all used to me and I give them lots of love. 
 While living in San Francisco I worked sometimes for a couple who have no 2 legged children but one 4 legged dog that is their child.  THey both traveleled alot for work so I would stay at their house, feed the dog, give the dog love and let him and in and out.   He was such a good dog. He was a big dog, an Alaskan Malamute.  
I have also owned many dogs in my day.  Since being married we have had a pit mix.  We had him for 5 years.  He was our baby.  Once we had our daughter though he would not warm up to her so he now lives with our friends in Texas.  We miss him terribly but he is happy wherere he is and we still get to see him.  We have decided to wait until my husband retires in 2010 so we are waiting  to get another dog and we can't wait.  Until then I would love to give your animals love and attention. 
Also, while I was a nanny all but one family had a dog that I cared I cared for as well.
