Hi! My name is Mariam and I’m a fourth year Journalism/English student at the University of Florida. I love reading and spending time with my cat Harry in my free time. I also enjoy doing anything arts and crafts related, like coloring, painting or embroidery. With over four years of babysitting experience and two years of pet sitting experience, I have taken amazing care of dozens of my neighbors and peers’ children, cats and dogs.

I have always had a deep love for children and animals. In 2018, I did several months of volunteer work for the Humane Society of Greater Miami, where I advocated against pet euthanasia and held presentations at various classrooms in my high school. I also worked as a teacher’s assistant for a TV production class of sixth graders in the Breakthrough Miami program during the summer of 2019. It was this experience that made me realize how much joy I find in sharing my creativity, art and knowledge with kids. But even more, how much joy I find in simply learning from kids too.

I am a very responsible and friendly person, and my goal is to always provide the most safe, positive and uplifting environment possible for every child or animal that I work with. I look forward to meeting you guys!
