I've owned a pet for the last 20 years so I understand that they need daily interaction and affection rather than quick feeding and watering. My pets have always been treated as a part of the family, and I treat any pet that I am hired to care for with the same love and devotion I treat my own pet. I do try to meet a few times with the owner and pet together before I am asked to show up to petsit, simply so that I can become familiar with the pet and their routines. When pets are left for any length of time they can feel rejected by their owners, and become hostile unless they are familiar with the person looking after them. I love animals, but I don't want to risk being attacked.
