My name is Vanessa and I am a huge animal lover. In 2008 I joined Legacy Humane Society (based in Dallas, TX) as a volunteer. I was a foster mom, a mentor to new fosters, and the events coordinator for the group. I have 20 years of experience in animal handling and 13 of those I dedicated to the Humane Society. I fostered over 325 dogs during those 13 years and found them amazing homes. I administered all types of medication including intranasal, oral and Sub-Q injections. I can give insulin as well.
I did petsitting for 9 years out of my home in Texas. I can effectively soothe and manage difficult animals. I can work with all types and sizes of animals. I had dogs from all stages of life come in and out of my home. I know being away from your home and your loved ones can be difficult. I believe that I have exceptional skills at relieving pets anxiety and setting them at ease and helping them to feel more comfortable.
I currently have 2 dogs that I adopted from LHS. I am very compassionate about what I do and I am focused on providing the best animal care possible. I do overnights at the clients home, walks or drop in visits. I hope you give me the opportunity to care for your loved pet.
