Joi’s Bio
Hi, my name is Joi (pronounced like "joy"). I am 23 years old living in Wilmington, DE (moved here 2 years ago from PA), and I recently graduated from Arcadia University with my Bachelor's degree in Ecological Philosophy. Although I don't have an extensive amount of experience with dogs or cats, I know quite a bit about other types of animals, and I am very teachable and willing to learn. I love challenges, and I consistently strive to be compassionate towards animals. My experience working with pets/animals is as follows:
- 2013-2017: Took care of my pet guinea pigs (2 females) as well as dogs and cats belonging to relatives and friends
- 5+ years of experience on small family-run farms, doing minimal farm animal care with cows, alpacas, chickens, horses, pigs, sheep, etc. (farm animals are my favorite!)
- Summer 2019 & Summer 2020: Professional exotic animal handling care at the Delaware Nature Society environmental camp (alligators, turtles, snakes, lizards, birds, bugs, etc.)
