Animal care has been a passion of mine since childhood! In grade school I pet sat for hamsters, dogs, and birds, as well as took care of my family's fish tank and cat. Post-college I spent 10 months WWOOFing (World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms) on 2 different Vermont farms - and I fell in love with farm animal care! When I returned home to Delaware I began working for the Delaware Nature Society. Part of my job was shared daily maintenance of the herpetology room with my co-workers. We cared for a variety of turtles, frogs, snakes, a tarantula, and more! After 2 years, I transitioned to working for Delaware Nature Society's educational farm, working with sheep, cows, chickens, pigs, and goats. All the while I have enjoyed pet sitting cats, dogs, and chickens for friends, family, and neighbors.
Currently I live with my husband on our own little farmstead with 13 layer hens and our 4 year old cat.
