It brings me joy to get to know and care for animals. This last year I fostered a husky (Balto) and a cat (Gwen) and I am the go-to pet watcher for my friends. I grew up with a loving, energetic golden retriever (Betsy) and three cats (Fritz, Luna, Coco) I love dogs of all shapes and sizes and I am well practiced with dogs learning to be good leash-walkers. I am a big fan of long walks and Rock Creek Park hikes. I look forward to working with you and caring for your pet.

I am available all-day weekdays and part-time on the weekends. I have two months before I transition into my next full-time job, so I have a lot of flexibility in my day-to-day schedule. If I am notified in advance, I can schedule for multi-day pet sitting.

I am attentive to pets' needs. When sitting in-home, I am intentional about maintaining a routine that you have established with your pet for mealtimes, walks, and bedtime. I value time spent outside and will maximize walk time depending on your pet's abilities and comfort levels. When on walks, I am aware of how your pet reacts to other animals, people, and the environment. I practice patient leash-walking with positive training. I enjoy getting to know pets' personalities and will spend the time to establish trust and comfort.
