Hi, my name is Diane and I would like to tell you about my past experience working with children.
At an early age, I started by taking care of some of my new baby sister's needs, and, later, even babysitting for some of her friends. I assisted my mother in her 5th grade classroom on occasion, while hearing her stories of novel activities she thought up to try with them. I also babysat quite a bit for neighbors in my teens, having up money for college. In my first two years of college, I took 2 Child Development courses and one workshop dealing directly with children. Later on, I worked at the Danbury YMCA for one year as a Preschool Teacher's Aide with the 3 year old class. And, along the way, I did some babysitting for a sitter agency. Currently, I am helping local elderly clients through a Home Health Agency. I will return in the fall to a Substitute Tutor position in the local schools, while also doing some sitting on the side.
I love kids and their wonderful imaginations and interpretations of the world! I have always been interested in Psychology, Medicine, and Health, and I completed a B.S. degree in Human Nutrition. Unfortunately, I never got to have my own kids. But, I think they are precious, anyway!!
