Hello! My name is Katika. I'm 33 years old and recently moved to Augusta, GA from Jacksonville, FL in July 2015. I relocated to the area to assist with household duties while my boyfriend is attending medical school here. I am attending the University of Florida's online Masters program in Sports Management and do my schoolwork and studies at night while my boyfriend is at work. However, I find that I still have ample time left in my day after I tend to all my studies and chores. Regarding my related experience, I began babysitting at the age of 12, mainly for families within my neighborhood. I became employed with the YMCA during my last two years of high school and throughout college in which I have worked in a preschool, before and after school daycare for elementary and middle school aged children, summer camps and a resident summer camp (Camp Immokalee). Since then, I have babysat for friends and others through referral. I have volunteered for the Dandelion House, a non profit organization in Jacksonville, designed to provide social skills to special needs children of all ages. I have been involved with the Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Foundation, an organization that raises funds to assist with families afflicted my childhood cancer, for the last 3 years and am still active and also developed experience with sick/ill/recovering children as well. During my undergrad college years, I found that caring for children while in school proved to be beneficial for both myself and the children. I had and have good study habits and can assist children with schoolwork and studying. The nature of the job itself is not stressful and poses no distraction to my current routine and that is important to me while I'm in school. I am also a proud and happy owner of a precious Pomeranian so pets being present are not a problem for me. I can also assist with letting them outside to do their business, walks and feedings if needed. Also, I am an Uber driver with a really good driving record in case transportation services are needed. I have a clean record background check document issued by the Columbia County Sheriff's Office available upon request.
