Hello. My name is Karen. I retired as a social worker for the St of Ct about a year ago. I have two boys ages 18 and 17 yrs with one In college and the other a senior in high school who rarely is home with school, sports and a job. My husband works and so this leaves me with the time to do things I enjoy. I have always had a love for animals and in hindsight should have been a vet vs a social worker! Regardless, I surround myself with animals and with my 2 dogs, take daily hikes. I believe animals need daily exercise so they can release energy which translates to a happier, better behaved and well rounded animal. It infuriates me with how some treat animals and I’m a huge advocate for stricter punishment towards individuals that mistreat their animals. I have spent my lifetime with animals. I fostered for many years, stopping about 3 yrs ago, with several organizations. I have a 13 and 2 yr old German Shepherd along with 2 cats. The 2 yr old Shepard LOVES to play and is the most beautiful dog with a funny disposition. My 13 yr old is also very sweet but is going blind and showing his age. Both are neutered and up to date on their immunizations. I’m open to taking appropriate animals back to my home if that’s something desirable. We do have a swimming pool that my 2 dogs enjoy and more than happy to share the fun! I’m flexible and can be very accommodating with your pets needs.
