I worked at multiple volunteer shelters and fosters throughout my life. I've rehabilitated cats, dogs, and rodents, and saved many from abusive or unfit situations. I've helped willing owners get their petcare and houses fit for their furry babies to ensure they have the best lives they can. I've educated children, and adults with disabilities on proper petcare so they can healthily remain with their companions. I've had a passion for petcare since I was young. From early childhood I helped my mother raise and rehabilitate snakes, dogs, and cats in our own home. I will not pass up an opportunity to help any animal, even when it means risking my own wellbeing; I simply can't stand to see them suffer for any reason. I've helped family, friends, and even strangers through the mourning of their animals, helping them to realize the reality of the situation and see a bright future ahead. I attended biology and zoology classes throughout highschool to better my understanding of the behaviors and psychology of animals. I believe each animal is unique and important part of our families, and as such they deserve to be respected and treated with love and care. I have a support animal myself with a very vibrant personality and he's added so much beauty and value to my life. (He will not be attending any sitting jobs but I may smell like him to your pets when I arrive) I believe that no animal would ever hurt anyone without feeling provoked or threatened. I always approach any animal with a calm and curious demeanor, allowing them to express their emotions however they see fit. I believe a well fed pet is a healthy and happy pet, so I may bring along or suggest healthy options to add to their diets if you're open to ideas. I love learning about animals and animal nutrition, and am always looking forward to new experiences with the fuzzy or scaly friends we share our world with! My resume says bathing and grooming, though I cannot cut hair. I'd be more than happy to provide bathing, brushing, tooth brushing, and medication administration anytime it's needed.
